What is BBTRS?

Biodynamic Breath and Trauma Release System is a revolutionary new healing modality that uses breath to stimulate the body’s natural nervous-system processes, which in turn allow us to better sense what is happening within us. Energetic blockages might present as a lack of motivation and vitality, obstacles for moving forward in life, unrealized emotions, or deep lack of connection with self, others or community. Tension can present as physical aches, pains, even numbness.

How does BBTRS work?

The Biodynamic Breathwork and Trauma Release System (BBTRS), works by releasing core tensions within the body, and by relieving incomplete energies or stuckness. Participants of this work are supported to complete arrested fight, flight or dissociated/freeze responses using the principles of pendulation and titration. Conscious connected breath is the main tool of BBTRS, and the somatic level healing is further supported by the elements of movement, touch, sound, conscious emotional expression, and meditation. A vital part of this work is accessing a space within the participant that brings a sense of safety and of ease, ultimately relieving us of the burdens we carry.

What are the benefits of BBTRS?

This work is designed to release tension, emotional blockages, and trauma stored in the body, promoting physical and emotional well-being.

What can you expect during a BBTRS session?

We work using the principles of Somatic Experiencing. Soft emotional release can be a part of your session, but not a goal. You are supported to stay present while revisiting deeper feelings and sensations – and to return to your own sense of comfort and resource whenever necessary. This balanced approach supports you to release and integrate traumatic burdens, rather than become overwhelmed by them. It can be possible to heal trauma by releasing core tension and completing arrested trauma-related fight/flight or dissociation responses.
