Biodynamic Breathwork and Trauma Release (BBTRS) is suitable for those who are looking to address issues related to stress, anxiety, depression, and physical tensions, and it can help to support personal growth.

In a biodynamic breathwork and trauma release session you will find that Lynn creates a safe and supportive environment. 

We begin with meditation and grounding, bringing your awareness to your body and felt sense. We will also explore places inside your body, or out in your world, where your “happy place” is. You’ll be guided through a conscious, connected breath to activate the body’s natural healing mechanisms. Conscious, connected breathing is where you breathe rhythmically and continuously without pausing between inhales and exhales. 

Throughout the session, you’ll be encouraged to tune into physical sensations, emotions, and any areas of tension or discomfort in your body. This may involve gentle movements or body scanning exercises.  As you continue with the breathwork and body awareness practices, you may start to experience the release of stored emotions, memories, or trauma held in the body. This can manifest as shaking, trembling, crying, laughter, or other emotional and physical responses. 

Towards the end of the session, there will be time for integration and grounding. You may be guided through relaxation techniques or gentle movements to help re-center and integrate the experiences of the session.  After the session, there will be an opportunity to reflect on your experience and discuss any insights or feelings that arose during the process.

Overall, BBTRS is for anyone who is open to exploring the connection between their body, mind, and emotions and is seeking a holistic approach to healing and personal transformation. However, it’s important to note that BBTRS may not be suitable for everyone, especially those with certain medical or psychological conditions, in which case it’s essential to consult with a qualified practitioner to determine if BBTRS is appropriate for you.

8 Brocades Chi Kung 

The Eight Brocades (8 Treasures) is a Chi Kung sequence of 8 movements that was developed over 1000 years ago by General Yue Fei as a form of exercise to keep his soldiers strong, healthy, and prepared for battle. Since then these movements have been shared and treasured by many different lineages due to the immense health benefits.

In this 6 week introduction series to Chi Kung, Renate Geier and Kristina Soroff will share the principles of Chi Kung and the practices and aspects of “cleaning and balancing” our energy, which is essential to creating harmony and balance in our daily lives.

Renate Geier has studied and taught Chi Kung for over 25 years and will share the many facets of this path of study, whether for your personal development, helping your friends and family, or if you are a healing practitioner of any modality. She brings her wisdom and dedication as a practitioner and instructor of 7 Lotus Chi Kung. A system that combines postures, breathing and movement, complemented by visualization and vocalization methods, offers a simple, very effective way to increase clarity, energy, awareness and good health. 

Kristina is a Chi Kung practitioner of over 8 years, a 7 Lotus Chi Kung teacher, and a registered acupuncturist. She brings her knowledge of the Chinese medicine meridian systems and yin/yang theories. Radiant Rest: Yoga Nidra Class

Yoga nidra is not about yoga poses, stretches, or exercises. This is a meditative practice done in a comfortable resting position and designed to help you move through deeper states of consciousness, to calm your nervous system, and enhance your overall well being. 

Yoga Nidra is generally done in a lying down posture called Savasana or corpse pose, which means lying on your back with your arms by your sides. However, you are guided to rest in whatever position is most comfortable for you. Please wear loose, comfortable clothing, including socks, as you may cool down during the session. We have blankets and pillows at the clinic for your use, and you will be lying on a massage table.

It is best to leave an hour between eating and joining the class in order to maximise comfort, benefit, and enjoyment of the session.

In our session we will move step-by-step, exploring various states of consciousness with the goal of muscular relaxation, mental expansiveness, emotional release, and deep, restorative rest. Together we will create an inner oasis of relaxation where you can develop valuable skills for handling stress, tension, and fatigue.

The abundance of summer has receded, inviting us into contemplation and quiet during the fall months. Chinese Medicine views the body as a microcosm mirroring the larger macrocosm of the world around us. During the change of seasons, we can experience this relationship in a prominent way. Like the fall leaves, learn to let go whether it is a physical or emotional holding. Perhaps there is a sense of grief to acknowledge and give space to.

Animal Lounge: Restorative Yoga & Acupuncture

Description: Join us for a lazy Sunday morning stretch, the ultimate muscle and mind melt.  Inspired by the movements of animals around us, Niki Brown will guide a 45-minute Restorative Yoga class that will invite slow and deep stretches held over elongated periods of time while your body is supported by bolsters and pillows.  An extended Shavasana (resting pose) at the end will be combined with a brief acupuncture session.  Take a moment to indulge in this slow practice before moving into the busyness of the fall.
